The good, the bad and the snotty…

First the bad and the snotty:

My (good) little sweetie is home again today with a fever and major snottiness.  So, she has spent the day watching movies and like this:

She looked a bit more perky last week when home:

The good?  Well, having someone who wants to constantly snuggle means I have gotten a lot of typing work done on the laptop (though, not on the blog…) and the project that I carry around to work while out and about (so only a row or two happens at a time, which means it grows SLOWLY) has grown to this:

Aren’t they fun?  It’s pink!  It’s green!  It’s orange!  It’s checks and stripes all in one!

Also good?  Being on the laptop while snuggling also means I have been trolling around on the net, which is something I haven’t had a lot of time to do lately.  Guess what I found?

It’s a new gluten free magazine, Delight Gluten Free!  Yay!  I can’t wait to check it out.  They are just getting started and will be adding things to their site weekly.  Here’s what they say about their magazine:

“Check out this amazing new magazine! Delight gluten free is a fun food & lifestyle magazine for people with Celiac Disease, gluten intolerance and food allergies. It hosts delicious gourmet recipes and easy semihomemade as well. Don’t miss the Gluten-Free Meals on a Budget either. Whatever your food allergy you should be able to find something that fits your household, in their February issue they offer gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, egg-free, soy-free and even some rice-free recipes. Not only that, this magazine has a travel section coming in May that will host lots of fun ideas and good advice for when you venture out on the road. Personal stories, inspiring articles on Autism, Q & A with the Doc are among the other features of this magazine.”

Sounds like something for everyone.  Go check it out!

Me?  I’ll be on the couch snuggling the cutie….

Yeah, I am alive and well, but I need a nap!!

Well, when I was going to be “posting on Wednesday,” little did I realize that it was going to be in TWO Wednesdays from then…  Oops!  Life has a tendency to be zippy this time of year (when isn’t it?) and I just sat back and was washed into the flood of fun.  End of the year preschool concerts, end of the year band concerts, Girl Scout bridging, end of the year school picnics, track and field day, speech ice cream socials, and so on, and so on…Oh, yeah, soccer and baseball, too!!  Woo-hoo!!   Today is the last full day of school, just two more half days to go.  Does that seem weird to anyone else?
